Ealing Council to review early help services for families

Residents are being encouraged to share their views on how Early Help services can meet the needs of all families in the borough.

Ealing Council is launching a comprehensive review of its Early Help services to better support children, young people, and their families.

The review aims to address gaps in service access, ensuring families in need can get help early, before issues escalate and lead to more serious interventions. Many families currently miss out on support, which could prevent problems from worsening and keep children out of the social care system.

As part of the review, the Council will explore ways to make services more accessible, flexible, and tailored to meet families’ needs. It will also assess the organisation of children’s centres, with plans to revitalise key centres into vibrant hubs offering a wider range of support.

The goal is to ensure families receive the right help, at the right time, in the right place. This includes creating consistent levels of support across all seven towns in the borough, so every family can access the same high-quality services.

Residents are encouraged to share their experiences and ideas during a 12-week consultation starting in early February. Feedback will help shape the future of Early Help services and identify what works well and what needs improvement.

Stay tuned to the Council’s website and social media channels for updates on how to take part in the consultation and contribute to building a stronger, more supportive system for local families.
