In terms of design, the Z Fold 7 is said to feature a more rounded body, eliminating the sharp corners found on the Z Fold 6 in favor of the sleeker design seen on Samsung’s S25 series
Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 has been hinted at in a new build of One UI 7, although the South Korean tech giant has yet to make an official announcement. The information was uncovered by well-known leaker Tarun Vats, who spotted the code for the forthcoming device.
Vats took to X (formerly Twitter) to reveal the discovery, writing: “Galaxy Z Fold 7: The first One UI test build spotted on the server today! Build Version: F966USQU0AYB3/F966UOYN0AYB3/F966USQU0AYB3. It may be One UI 7.0.1, as early rumors say.”
This revelation supports earlier rumors that the Galaxy Z Fold 7, along with the Galaxy Z Flip 7, will likely debut in the summer. According to reports, the new foldable phone will be significantly thinner when folded, possibly as thin as the Galaxy S24 Ultra, making it about 30% thinner than the current Galaxy Z Fold 6.
In terms of design, the Z Fold 7 is said to feature a more rounded body, eliminating the sharp corners found on the Z Fold 6 in favor of the sleeker design seen on Samsung’s S25 series. As for the camera setup, the Z Fold 7 is expected to maintain a similar configuration to the Galaxy Z Fold 6, with a 50-megapixel main camera, 12-megapixel ultrawide, 10-megapixel 3x telephoto, 10-megapixel front selfie, and a 4-megapixel under-display inner selfie camera. However, rumors suggest that the main camera may get an upgrade to 200 megapixels, aligning with the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s impressive shooter.
While pricing details are still under wraps, it is speculated that the Z Fold 7 will start at $1,899, the same price as the current Z Fold 6, and will likely come with 256GB of storage. Stay tuned for official announcements as Samsung gears up to reveal its next-generation foldable phone.
