The exhibition also reflects the UAE’s growing stature as a global education hub, driven by innovative policies and high-quality academic institutions
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, officially inaugurated the 41st edition of the Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX 2025) this morning at the Dubai World Trade Centre, drawing attention to the changing landscape of global education, particularly for students considering studying in the UK.
GETEX, recognised as the UAE’s most attended education and training exhibition, serves as a premier platform for academic institutions from across the globe, enabling students and parents to explore a wide range of academic and career opportunities. The event will continue until 2nd May, featuring representatives from over 30 countries. During the opening ceremony, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak emphasised the importance of GETEX in empowering students to shape their academic and professional futures. “This exhibition plays a pioneering role in aligning with the UAE’s vision of investing in human capital and promoting lifelong learning,” he stated. “It reflects the nation’s commitment to creating an advanced educational environment that is in line with global transformations in education and technology.”
He noted that this year’s exhibition showcases a broad spectrum of academic programs, from traditional disciplines to emerging fields that align with the evolving job market. The exhibition also reflects the UAE’s growing stature as a global education hub, driven by innovative policies and high-quality academic institutions.
The UAE’s commitment to supporting education was further emphasized by Sheikh Nahyan, who linked the country’s educational efforts to the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the UAE’s national agenda. The goal, he explained, is to build a knowledge-based society that equips future generations with the tools needed for progress and global contribution.

The exhibition provides thousands of students with the chance to meet representatives from universities worldwide, explore career counseling options, and even apply for university admission on the spot. A notable focus this year is on alternative education destinations as traditional countries such as the UK, US, Australia, and Canada tighten student visa regulations.
As part of the exhibition’s efforts to support students in navigating global education changes, GETEX 2025 highlights study opportunities in Europe, the CIS countries, Malaysia, India, and Pakistan, offering a variety of conventional, non-traditional, and future-focused programs. The UAE stands out as an increasingly attractive option for international students, with its flexible university admission policies, high-quality academic institutions, and world-class infrastructure.

GETEX’s long-standing presence in the region—this year marking its 41st edition—demonstrates its ability to adapt to the evolving global education landscape. The exhibition continues to play a critical role in helping students make informed decisions about their academic and professional futures. The event, which is free to attend, is being held in Zabeel Hall 6 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from 30th April to 2nd May.
