Sci-fi fans and foodies alike can mark their calendars as two highly anticipated shows have set official streaming release dates. The first two episodes of Alien: Earth, a new series based on the iconic Alien film franchise, will premiere on August 12 on Hulu and FX. Meanwhile, the Emmy-winning dramedy The Bear returns for its fourth season on June 25, streaming on Hulu and Disney+ internationally.
Alien: Earth, from FX Productions, expands the Alien universe to Earth for the first time in the franchise’s history. According to the official logline, the story follows Wendy (Sydney Chandler) and a group of tactical soldiers as they encounter a deadly extraterrestrial threat after a deep-space research vessel crash-lands on Earth. The show will roll out weekly, with the remaining six episodes debuting each Tuesday following the premiere.
The star-studded cast includes Timothy Olyphant as Kirsh, Alex Lawther as Hermit, Samuel Blenkin as Boy Kavalier, and Adarsh Gourav as Slightly, among others. It is executive produced by Fargo creator Noah Hawley, legendary filmmaker Ridley Scott, and a team including David W. Zucker, Joseph Iberti, Dana Gonzales, and Clayton Krueger.

Season 3 saw Carmy Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White) transform The Beef into an upscale restaurant named The Bear. However, tensions rise as Ayo Edebiri’s Sydney considers walking away from the chaotic kitchen environment in pursuit of a fresh start. The cast also includes Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Abby Elliott, and Matty Matheson. The past seasons of The Bear have featured an impressive lineup of guest stars, such as Jamie Lee Curtis, Jon Bernthal, Bob Odenkirk, Olivia Colman, and even wrestling star John Cena, adding to the show’s cultural cachet.
With both Alien: Earth and The Bear Season 4 on the horizon, Hulu is poised for a blockbuster summer of original content that blends adrenaline-pumping sci-fi with intense kitchen drama.
