Monica Barbaro, the 34-year-old actress, has expressed her excitement and gratitude upon being appointed as a Dior ambassador. Representing creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri’s women’s fashion collections, Barbaro is honored to collaborate with the legendary fashion house.
In an interview with WWD, Barbaro shared, “Since I was a kid, I was inspired by fashion and its evolution as an art form. Dior has held an iconic place in my imagination. I am so honoured to be joining a house that is the gold standard in elegance, craftsmanship, and celebration of the feminine.”
The actress, known for her roles in A Complete Unknown and Top Gun: Maverick, was chosen for her embodiment of Dior’s elegance and audacity—a continuously reinvented femininity. This partnership celebrates the special connection between Dior and culture, reflecting the house’s lasting influence in fashion and beyond.

At the recent Golden Globe Awards, she stunned in a strapless Dior gown featuring a draped bodice and flowing pleated skirt. The intricate dress, which took 1,100 hours to create, showcased embroidery and beaded embellishments beneath an overlayer of tulle.
Speaking about the gown, Monica said, “Maria Grazia Chiuri drew this beautiful sketch for me as soon as A Complete Unknown received its nomination. My stylist, Jeanann Williams, and I immediately fell in love… Dior pulled out all the stops to fit this gorgeous gown to my body perfectly. It is elegant, classic, and modern.”
While Monica enjoys the timeless appeal of Dior, she admits to not following trends. “I love timeless staples with subtle nods to what’s currently in fashion,” she said, embracing a more classic and refined approach to style.
