The Terminator star shares four children — Katherine, Christina, Patrick, and Christopher — with ex-wife Maria Shriver, and has another son, Joseph, with Mildred Patricia Baena
Arnold Schwarzenegger says he’d only consider doing a movie with his family if the script was exceptional. The 77-year-old action icon — father-in-law to Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt and father to The White Lotus actor Patrick Schwarzenegger — told E! News that the trio would never team up for a film unless the story truly justified it.
“I think that it’s one of those things that if there is a great script, then of course we would do it,” he said. “But you cannot just make up this stuff, you cannot just say, ‘Okay, let’s just put the three together in a movie,’ and not have a great script.”
When asked if the family had ever discussed the idea of working together on screen, Schwarzenegger said they hadn’t — but it wasn’t surprising. “No, but that’s a given,” he added.
The Terminator star shares four children — Katherine, Christina, Patrick, and Christopher — with ex-wife Maria Shriver, and has another son, Joseph, with Mildred Patricia Baena. He expressed pride in all his children but noted Patrick’s early interest in acting. “Patrick always had a love of show business,” Arnold recalled. “I think he spent a lot of time on set with me watching me, and I think he got his style right there and then.”
Patrick currently stars as Saxon Ratliff in HBO’s hit anthology series The White Lotus, and when asked whether he’d appear alongside his son in the show, Arnold said he might be open to it. “Whenever I see something good, I am interested in it,” he said. “So, we’ll see.”
