Pamela Anderson is embracing natural beauty and encouraging others to do the same. In a candid new interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK (July/August 2025 issue), the 56-year-old actress and activist opened up about her decision to forgo makeup, reject filters, and celebrate authenticity in a world increasingly shaped by artificial beauty.
“I think that with AI technology and filters, people are becoming kind of boring-looking,” said the former Baywatch star. “I want to challenge beauty norms. I’ve always been a rebel. I never see somebody and think, ‘I want to look like that.’ I just want to see who I am.”
Anderson, known for her glamorous past as a Playboy Bunny, has recently embraced a more stripped-down lifestyle. She made headlines in 2023 for walking red carpets without makeup, calling it an act of liberation.
“At some point you have to say, ‘This is all I’ve got.’ Surrender to it. And it’s real happiness. It’s freedom to know you can walk on a red carpet without a stitch of make-up on. I mean, why can’t I? Men do it all the time.”
The mother of two — Brandon Thomas, 29, and Dylan Jagger, 27, whom she shares with ex-husband Tommy Lee — also reflected on life as a single woman, focusing on creativity and self-discovery rather than romance.
“I love being in a creative space. That’s my happy place,” she shared. “It’s not necessarily about men or relationships. It’s about seeing what you’re made of, what you’re supposed to contribute to the world.”
Currently starring in The Last Showgirl, Pamela said she’s entering a new phase of life with intention and clarity. “I don’t know what my next incarnation will be, but right now, I want to peel it back… clean up a little bit and just see: who am I?” While open to love, she admits she’d need to “really trust” someone before considering a new relationship. “I get to do it my way. And so, if anyone comes into my life, I have to really trust that it won’t interfere with my one shot.”
