Aniston Eyes Broadway Debut

Even during Friends, Aniston branched out into films, appearing in titles such as Office Space, The Good Girl, My Affection, and Bruce Almighty

Hollywood star Jennifer Aniston may have achieved global fame with her iconic role as Rachel Green on Friends, but she’s still got unfulfilled dreams—chief among them, stepping onto the Broadway stage.

In a recent interview with People while promoting her new campaign with Smartwater, the 56-year-old actress revealed that performing in a Broadway play is high on her bucket list.

“I definitely want to do a Broadway play. That’s on my bucket list,” Aniston shared. “But it’s finding the time and finding the right piece, the right material. But I absolutely have to do a play on Broadway.”

Aniston was introduced to acting early on, growing up with actor parents—Nancy Dow and John Aniston. After attending a performing arts high school in New York City, she began her career in Off-Broadway productions and early TV roles before making her film debut in Leprechaun (1993).
Shortly after, she was cast as Rachel Green in the beloved NBC sitcom Friends, which ran from 1994 to 2004. The role made her a household name and won her numerous accolades.

She starred alongside Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer, forming one of television’s most iconic ensembles.

Even during Friends, Aniston branched out into films, appearing in titles such as Office Space, The Good Girl, My Affection, and Bruce Almighty. Post-Friends, she continued her successful film career with hits like Marley & Me, He’s Just Not That Into You, Just Go with It, We’re the Millers, Cake, and the Murder Mystery franchise.

Currently, Aniston stars in the Apple TV+ drama The Morning Show, opposite Reese Witherspoon, Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, and Karen Pittman. The show, which explores the cutthroat world of television journalism, is set to return for its fourth season later this year.
While Aniston has conquered television and film, her dream of appearing on Broadway proves that even after decades of success, she’s still pushing herself artistically. Fans now eagerly await the moment she finally steps into the spotlight under the lights of the Great White Way.
