For Cardi, the heart of her apparel line lies in creating durable, true-to-size clothing that customers will genuinely love — pieces that won’t just sit in a closet but will be worn repeatedly
Cardi B is ready to step into the world of entrepreneurship in a major way. The Grammy-winning rapper has announced a partnership with Revolve Group to launch her own beauty and apparel brands — her first fully owned venture after a series of successful collaborations.
Previously, Cardi teamed up with companies like Reebok, NYX Professional Makeup, and Fashion Nova, creating sell-out collections and major buzz. But this new move marks a significant shift: building her own labels from the ground up. Speaking to WWD, the 32-year-old star expressed the pressure and excitement she feels, likening the anticipation around her brands to that surrounding a new album release.
“People have been expecting both from me. My beauty line, people have been expecting that, like an album,” Cardi explained. “When something is so expected, people want it to be the best, or they want it to be the worst so they can be like, ‘Haha, you don’t know about s, b*!’ We have to come in strong.”
For Cardi, the heart of her apparel line lies in creating durable, true-to-size clothing that customers will genuinely love — pieces that won’t just sit in a closet but will be worn repeatedly. She emphasized the importance of longevity and fit, reflecting on her early days in New York when finding affordable, good-quality clothes was essential.
“I could shop every single day, but there’s always that one pair of jeans that I love,” she said. “There’s that tank top that I love, and I don’t care how many stains are on it — I’m gonna wear it because I just love it. I want my brand to have that one piece you buy, that you love, and that makes sense.”
Cardi stressed the need for authentic sizing across her collections. “If it’s a size small, it should be a true size small; if it’s a size large, it should be a true size large. That is very important to me, because I don’t just think about me now, I think about me when I was 20 years old, rushing to find something that fits for a night out.”
Expectations are sky-high, and Cardi acknowledges that her first collection is likely to sell out quickly — but for her, real success will be measured in customer loyalty and repeat purchases. “When I drop, everything is going to sell out the first week or day — but that’s not the good part. The good part is when people come back. I want people to come back.”
With her usual confidence and a sharp eye for what her fans love, Cardi B’s new beauty and fashion lines are poised to make a powerful debut. As she steps into this next phase of her career, fans and industry insiders alike will be watching closely to see how the superstar translates her bold style and authenticity into lasting brands.
