Daryl Dixon Returns September

The third season picks up threads left hanging in Season 2: The Book of Carol. That chapter saw Carol frantically searching for Daryl, while he wrestled with the decision to remain in France

The wait is over for fans of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. AMC has officially announced that the third season of the hit spin-off series will premiere on September 7 at 9 PM ET/PT on AMC and AMC+, as reported by Deadline. Alongside the release date, AMC also unveiled a short teaser trailer and fresh promotional stills offering a glimpse of the upcoming action.

Season 3 of the post-apocalyptic saga brings back Norman Reedus as the fan-favourite crossbow-wielding survivor, Daryl Dixon, and Melissa McBride as Carol Peletier, marking the duo’s long-awaited reunion onscreen. The new season will follow Daryl and Carol as they continue their perilous mission to return home—though the road ahead proves more treacherous than ever.

According to the show’s synopsis, their journey leads them through unfamiliar terrain and cultures, shedding light on how the global walker outbreak has impacted communities beyond American borders. As the story expands geographically, so does its emotional depth. Daryl and Carol must navigate not only the dangers of the undead and human adversaries but also unresolved tensions between themselves.

The third season picks up threads left hanging in Season 2: The Book of Carol. That chapter saw Carol frantically searching for Daryl, while he wrestled with the decision to remain in France. Their separation tested their bond, and Season 3 is expected to delve deeper into the emotional fallout of their choices.

Significantly, the narrative takes the characters to Spain, pushing the franchise into yet another international setting. This shift broadens the series’ scope and promises new layers to the overarching conflict. The looming threat of Genet and her authoritarian group, Pouvoir, remains a central storyline. With her influence rising, a larger battle for the future of France—and perhaps Europe—takes shape.

The upcoming season also introduces several new cast members, adding fresh faces to the ever-expanding world of The Walking Dead. Among the notable additions are Eduardo Noriega, Oscar Jaenada, and Alexandra Masangkay. They are joined by Candela Saitta, Hugo Arbues, Greta Fernandez, Gonzalo Bouza, Hada Nieto, Yassmine Othman, Cuco Usin, and Stephen Merchant, who will bring new dimensions and challenges to the story.

The show continues to be helmed by a powerhouse executive production team including Scott M. Gimple, David Zabel, Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Greg Nicotero, Brian Bockrath, and Angela Kang.
With high-stakes storytelling, emotional reunions, new landscapes, and dangerous enemies, Season 3 of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon promises to raise the bar. As the countdown begins to September 7, fans can expect a gripping continuation of a story that remains as compelling and unpredictable as ever.
