Heidi Montag mourns loss of clothes in wildfires

Among the irreplaceable pieces were carefully curated shoes and her beloved Paige jeans. She noted, “I only grabbed two pairs of jeans, and I’m such a jean girl.”

Reality TV star Heidi Montag, 38, expressed her sorrow over the loss of cherished clothes in the recent Los Angeles wildfires that devastated her home earlier this month. Montag, known for her role in The Hills, revealed that despite understanding the material nature of clothing, the sentimental value attached to the items has left her heartbroken.

Speaking to Vogue.com, Montag, who shares two sons, Gunner, 7, and Ryker, 2, with husband Spencer Pratt, said, “It sounds silly, but I was so sad about losing my clothes. They’re just things, but they represent memories — places I went and people I was with. There’s a lot I can’t replace.”

Among the irreplaceable pieces were carefully curated shoes and her beloved Paige jeans. She noted, “I only grabbed two pairs of jeans, and I’m such a jean girl.”

To cope with the loss, Montag recently turned to retail therapy. She shared that a trip to Marshalls, where she bought discounted sweaters for around $20, lifted her spirits. “It made me feel so much better. But I still look back at TikToks and see a sweater I wore, reminiscing,” she said.
As Montag rebuilds her wardrobe and life after the tragedy, she hopes to bring positivity to others affected by the wildfires. Recognizing the transformative power of hair and makeup, she expressed her desire to establish a charity to offer beauty services for those who have lost everything.
“My bag of Patrick Ta, Hourglass, and Charlotte Tilbury makeup grounds me and makes me feel more like myself,” she explained. “I would love to create or support a charity to help people regain that sense of dignity and self-confidence.”
The Los Angeles wildfires have left many families grappling with loss, but Montag’s story highlights the importance of self-expression and community-driven initiatives in times of recovery.
