John Power Calls Oasis Reunion Gigs “Magical” Ahead of ‘Oasis Live ’25 Tour’

The host joked about the unpredictable nature of the tour, given the famously volatile relationship between the Gallaghers, to which Power responded optimistically, “Well, who knows, but you know everything feels good

CAST frontman John Power has expressed his excitement over the upcoming Oasis reunion gigs, calling them “magical” as the legendary Britpop band prepares for their first concerts in 16 years. Oasis will be joined by the Liverpool rockers CAST, who will support them during their highly anticipated ‘Oasis Live ’25 Tour’, which kicks off on July 4 in Cardiff.
In a recent appearance on The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X, Power shared his enthusiasm for the reunion, particularly the prospect of seeing former bandmates Liam and Noel Gallagher perform together on stage again.

The host joked about the unpredictable nature of the tour, given the famously volatile relationship between the Gallaghers, to which Power responded optimistically, “Well, who knows, but you know everything feels good. Everything’s very positive, you know. Wembley here we come!”
The reunion marks a significant moment in rock history, as it will be the first time Liam and Noel Gallagher perform together since Oasis split following a backstage argument at their final concert in Paris in 2009. With fans eagerly anticipating the duo’s return, the ‘Oasis Live ’25 Tour’ promises to be one of the most exciting events in rock music this year.
In addition to CAST, former Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft will also be supporting Oasis during the tour. Power spoke about the collaboration, describing the lineup as a “northern soul happening” and highlighting the unique rock ‘n’ roll energy it would bring. “CAST, Richard Ashcroft, it’s like a northern soul happening, you know. It’s kind of. It’s rock ‘n’ roll!” Power added.

Reflecting on the significance of Oasis’ music, Power expressed his admiration for the band, saying, “I think it’s going to be magical. I really, really do. I’m really looking forward to seeing Noel and Liam on stage singing those songs, because it was something amazing.” He further shared his personal connection to Oasis, admitting that he was “blown away” by the opportunity to open for the band. “Oasis are the voice of a generation, and the songs that they wrote and sung were and still are the soundtrack to many people’s dreams. They are the people’s band.”
Richard Ashcroft, who has also been inspired by the Gallagher brothers, echoed Power’s sentiments. Ashcroft said, “I can say with no exaggeration that the songwriting talent of Noel, and Liam’s pure spirit as a lead singer, helped to inspire me to create some of my best work. It was the perfection of ‘Live Forever’ that forced me to try and write my own.”

The Oasis Live ’25 Tour is shaping up to be an iconic moment for fans, with the reunion providing a chance to relive the magic of Oasis’ biggest hits. The UK leg of the tour will culminate at the legendary Wembley Stadium, where Power is eager to witness the historic performance. Meanwhile, CAST is also celebrating a milestone of their own, marking 30 years since the release of All Change with a UK and Ireland tour in 2025. The tour will kick off at Dublin’s 3Olympia on October 25 and end with a hometown gig at Liverpool’s Olympia on December 5. The tour promises to be another highlight in the band’s ongoing legacy.
