In addition to the live show, there will be a question-and-answer session with KISS members, allowing fans to interact with the band and get an insider’s look at the history and legacy of one of rock’s most influential groups
Iconic rock band KISS is preparing for a highly anticipated “unmasked” performance in Las Vegas this November. The band, famous for their elaborate stage makeup and costumes, will be performing at the Kiss Army Storms Vegas convention, which will take place from November 14 to November 16 at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
Although KISS performed their final stage show with full makeup at New York’s Madison Square Garden in 2023, this upcoming concert will mark a significant shift. In a recent email to their super-fans, the band confirmed they will appear without their usual face paint and costumes for the event, giving fans a rare opportunity to see the band in a more stripped-down, “unmasked” performance.
According to a Facebook post shared by Rock N Roll Experience, the official Experience Packages for the event will offer fans “access to the KISS Unmasked live show” along with “a special live performance from former KISS member Bruce Kulick,” and “other special guests, activities, exclusive experiences, and more.” The event promises to be an unforgettable experience for KISS fans, combining a live performance with unique behind-the-scenes opportunities.
In addition to the live show, there will be a question-and-answer session with KISS members, allowing fans to interact with the band and get an insider’s look at the history and legacy of one of rock’s most influential groups.
Gene Simmons, co-founder of KISS, previously made headlines in 2023 by declaring that the Madison Square Garden concert would be the “final KISS-in-makeup appearance.” In an interview with Rolling Stone, the 75-year-old musician stated, “My hand on the Bible. And I should know because my people wrote that book. In fact, my people also wrote the follow-up book, the New Testament. And so I’ll say right here, right now, my hand on the Bible, it will be the final Kiss-in-makeup appearance.”
Despite these strong words, Simmons has left open the possibility of future performances. When asked if the band could ever return for a one-off show, Simmons responded, “At some point, I may want to jump up onstage and do some tunes. But the physicality of being in KISS says that this is the right thing, at the right place, at the right time. Because B.B. King played until his late 80s. He was sitting onstage. We can’t do that. We don’t sit down.”
KISS has been known for its over-the-top performances and larger-than-life personas, but the band’s “unmasked” appearance at this convention will mark an entirely new chapter in their storied career. Fans are eager to witness this rare and intimate concert, which offers a more personal connection to the legendary rockers without the iconic makeup that has defined their image for decades.
The Kiss Army Storms Vegas convention is set to be a major event for fans, with the band’s unmasked performance being just one of the highlights. As KISS enters this next phase of their career, they continue to honor their legacy while providing new, unique experiences for their loyal fanbase. With a mixture of old and new, this show promises to be a memorable event for both longtime fans and new admirers alike.
