Performing to a packed crowd, the 56-year-old singer paused during the show to express just how much the moment meant to her
Pop icon Kylie Minogue showed her emotional side during her Tension world tour stop at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena on Friday, as she reflected on her four-decade career and thanked fans and crew with heartfelt sincerity.
Performing to a packed crowd, the 56-year-old singer paused during the show to express just how much the moment meant to her. “Here we are in 2025 and I get to be on a world tour with these beautiful humans — the ones you can see on the stage and off stage,” she said, according to Billboard. “It’s been a lifetime and sometimes it just amazes me. So very, very grateful. Thank you so much for being here.”
Kylie, whose recent hits like Padam Padam have revitalized her global pop stardom, closed the show with Love at First Sight. Before singing the final track, she again turned to the audience to acknowledge the shared journey.
“You’ve been beyond tonight. You’ve been here, present, ready, going — thank you so much for being here, for your beautiful energy, for being here for me in all different times of my career. For being there for each other,” she said. She gave a special shout-out to her tour crew, saying, “This has been an incredible run. We’ve loved it, so thank you.”
Playfully, she added: “I’ve got some old friends here tonight. Look at me now!”
Kylie kicked off the Tension tour in Perth, Australia, and will perform nearly 70 shows across 25 countries by its end in Mexico. The tour spans five continents and includes stops in Asia, North America, Europe, and South America.
