Neil’s partner, Rain Hannah Andreani, and another passenger were on the plane, but fortunately, they were unharmed in the incident
Mötley Crüe has postponed their highly anticipated Las Vegas residency as frontman Vince Neil prepares for a “medical procedure.” The legendary rock band, known for hits like Girls, Girls, Girls, was set to kick off an 11-show series in Sin City later this month, but has announced that the shows will now be rescheduled to ensure Neil’s health takes priority.
The residency, originally planned for this spring, will now take place between September 12 and October 3. Fans who have already purchased tickets will have their tickets honored for the new dates. In a statement shared with fans on social media, Neil, 64, expressed his regret over the delay and assured fans that his health was his main concern.
“To all the Crüeheads who were looking forward to see us this Spring, I’m truly sorry,” Neil wrote. “My health is my top priority so I can bring you the awesome shows you deserve, and I can’t wait to return to the stage. Thank you for all the well wishes that keep reaching me. Your support means more than you know.”
The announcement has been met with understanding and support from his bandmates. Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, and John 5 released a joint statement, expressing their best wishes for Neil’s recovery. “Please join us in wishing Vince a speedy recovery. We are looking forward for him to get well again and take over Vegas together in September.”
Although the specifics of Neil’s medical procedure have not been disclosed, it has been reported that it was recommended by his doctors. This announcement comes just a month after a tragic incident involving Neil’s private jet. The aircraft was involved in a crash that claimed the life of the pilot, Joie Vitosky, 78, who tragically died when the plane veered off course and collided with a parked jet during landing at Scottsdale Airport in Arizona. Neil was not on board at the time of the crash.
Neil’s partner, Rain Hannah Andreani, and another passenger were on the plane, but fortunately, they were unharmed in the incident. Vitosky’s daughter, Jana Schertzer, expressed gratitude for her father’s actions, believing they saved the lives of those on board.
“I honestly, wholeheartedly believe that the reason those other passengers are alive — it’s because of how he handled it,” Schertzer said in an interview with the Arizona Republic.
While the Las Vegas shows have been postponed, Mötley Crüe fans can look forward to catching the band in the fall when Neil is expected to return to the stage after recovering. Fans are urged to hold onto their tickets, as they will remain valid for the newly scheduled dates. In the meantime, the band continues to send their well-wishes to Neil for a speedy recovery.
This delay marks another chapter in the rollercoaster history of Mötley Crüe, a band known for their high-energy performances and wild antics. However, it seems that, for now, the priority is ensuring Vince Neil’s health, as his bandmates and fans alike await his return to the stage.
