Myles Smith Reveals Desire to Collaborate with Ed Sheeran and Mumford & Sons

Myles Smith, the acclaimed singer-songwriter and winner of the 2025 BRIT Awards’ Rising Star prize, has expressed his desire to work with global music icons Ed Sheeran, folk-rock band Mumford & Sons, and ‘Stick Season’ hitmaker Noah Kahan.

Speaking to Guitar.com, the ‘Stargazing’ hitmaker shared, “I’d love to have a song with Ed, one with Mumford & Sons, and Noah Kahan.”

Smith’s career continues to flourish, recently marked by a collaboration with James Bay on the track ‘Waste.’ Despite his folk-inspired sound, the 26-year-old artist insists on defying categorization. He emphasized the importance of creative freedom, saying, “It’s nice that I’m being recognized and that my music’s going far and wide, but I also never want to box myself into one category. It’s about treading the line of accepting and embracing the music I make while letting people know there are many angles and different shades of what I do.”

Smith built a substantial following on TikTok and signed with RCA Records in December 2023. Since then, he has achieved significant success, including a top-five hit with ‘Stargazing.’ However, the rising star was deliberate about his decision to join a major label. “I didn’t ever want to go to a major label without fully knowing who I was, what I wanted to be, and how I wanted to present myself to the world. I had a strong grasp of who I was as a person and an artist, so I wasn’t comfortable doing anything before that point,” he explained.

Looking ahead, Smith shared that his music is rooted in authenticity and self-expression. “It always comes back to me wanting to let people know that it’s okay to show how they’re feeling and not to be ashamed or scared — for them to be unequivocally themselves in everything that they do and present. That’s always going to be the core of my music.”

With a growing fan base and a clear artistic vision, Smith continues to solidify his place as one of the most promising talents in the music industry.
