Recipe: Ramadan Special Chicken Maggi Balls

Maggi balls are crispy, flavourful, and addictive little morsels that are sure to become a Ramadan favourite! Made with a mixture of minced chicken, crushed Maggi noodles, and aromatic spices, these bite-sized balls are then deep-fried to a golden brown perfection.The exterior is crunchy and satisfying, giving way to a tender and juicy interior that’s packed with flavour. The Maggi noodles too add a delightful texture.


Ingredients
1.Boiled Chicken – ½ cup (shredded)
2.Maggi Noodles – 2 packets (cooked without masala)
3.Maggi Masala – 2 packets
4.Onions – 1 (finely chopped)
5.Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 tsp
6.Green Chilli – 3 (finely chopped)
7.Coriander Leaves – ¼ cup
8.Garam Masala – 1 tsp
9.Corn Starch Slurry – 3 tbsp

  1. Mozzarella Cheese – ¼ cup (shredded)
  2. Egg White – 2
  3. Bread Crumbs – 2 cups
  4. Oil – to fry
  5. Salt – to taste

Method
1.Heat a deep wok. Add 3 tbsp of oil on low- medium flame. Add in the onions, fry to translucent.
2.Add in the ginger garlic paste. Sauté until the raw smell goes. Add green chillies chopped and coriander leaves and sauté for a minute.
3.Add in the garam masala and mix it. Now add in the shredded chicken and cooked maggi noodles. Mix everything together. Adjust the salt.
4.Add in the cornstarch slurry and give it a mix. Add in the shredded mozzarella cheese, combine everything together. Switch off the flame and let it cool for 5 mins.
5.Make round balls out of the prepared mixture.
6.Beat the egg whites. Dip the maggi balls in it and then coat it in the bread crumbs.
7.Refrigerate the balls for 10 mins to set.
8.Fry it in the oil for 5 mins on medium flame.
