Serena Williams Joins Kendrick Lamar for Super Bowl Show, Says She “Died a Little”

Serena Williams made a surprise appearance during Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime performance at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, thrilling fans with her unexpected stage presence. The 43-year-old tennis legend joined Kendrick for a censored rendition of his diss track ‘Not Like Us.’

Sharing her excitement on Instagram, Serena posted a behind-the-scenes video practicing dance moves, captioning it: “Let’s go Super Bowl halftime??! I died a little!”

Kendrick’s 13-minute set teased ‘Not Like Us’ before delivering a toned-down version amid his ongoing legal feud with Drake. The rapper also performed hits like ‘Humble,’ ‘DNA,’ and ‘Euphoria.’ The stage spectacle featured SZA, who joined Kendrick for ‘All the Stars’ and ‘Luther,’ while Samuel L. Jackson played host as “Uncle Sam.” Kendrick’s headlining performance marked a historic first for a solo rapper at the Super Bowl, witnessed by stars including Sir Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga, Jay-Z, Taylor Swift, Ice Spice, and Bradley Cooper.

The Philadelphia Eagles triumphed over the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22, ending the Chiefs’ bid for a third consecutive championship win.
