Brent Cross Town, a pioneering new neighbourhood developed in partnership with Related Argent, has welcomed its first residents, marking a significant milestone in the Brent Cross Cricklewood regeneration programme. The development, which aims to transform the area into a vibrant and sustainable community, has seen the completion of social housing as part of its initial phase.

At Conductor House, 120 new homes have been completed, providing replacement social housing for residents of the nearby Whitefield Estate. These homes also offer opportunities for new residents through shared equity and London Living Rent schemes. Each property features a private garden or balcony, ensuring residents have access to their own outdoor space, while a communal garden provides a shared area for the community to enjoy together.

I am delighted to see residents receiving the keys to these fantastic new homes. This is a huge moment for the development, bringing much-needed social and affordable housing alongside the wider mix of homes being delivered.
Ross Houston, Deputy Leader of Barnet Council and Cabinet Member for Homes and Regeneration

The Delamarre, another key component of the first phase, offers the first homes for private sale at Brent Cross Town. In total, almost 300 new residences have been completed as part of this initial development, which is just the beginning of a much larger plan to build over 6,700 new homes in the area. This milestone is particularly special for residents like Linda Graham, who expressed her delight with her new apartment. “I’m absolutely over the moon with my new apartment! The open layout and three large windows that bring in so much natural light are just perfect,” she said.

Providing affordable housing early in the development process, along with high-quality parks and open spaces, is a crucial part of this vision. Improving transport connectivity with the new Brent Cross West station is also a priority, enhancing accessibility and convenience for residents.
Councillor Ross Houston, Deputy Leader of Barnet Council and Cabinet Member for Homes and Regeneration, commented on the significance of this development. “I am delighted to see residents receiving the keys to these fantastic new homes. Brent Cross Town is an £8 billion net-zero park town, aiming to deliver 6,700 of the 7,500 new homes planned for the wider Brent Cross Cricklewood programme. The development will include a diverse range of housing options, such as social housing, private sale, student accommodation, later living, and build-to-rent homes

This comprehensive approach ensures that the needs of different demographics are met, fostering a diverse and inclusive community.

The completion of the first homes is just the beginning of an ambitious project that promises to revitalise the area and create a sustainable, modern neighbourhood. As more homes are built and additional facilities are developed, Brent Cross Town is set to become a model for urban regeneration, offering a high quality of life for its residents.
With a focus on sustainability, community engagement, and accessibility, Brent Cross Town is poised to become a landmark development in the region. The excitement of the first residents moving in is a testament to the potential of this ambitious project, which aims to create a lasting positive impact on the area and its people.
