Khushwant Singh Lit Fest Returns to London

The Khushwant Singh Literary Festival (KSLF) London 2025 will be held on May 31, 2025, at SOAS, London, and June 3, 2025, at Somerville College, Oxford. This is the 7th edition of the festival, and it will also be held in Oxford for the first time. The festival will explore the theme of “Humanity Across Borders”.

The Khushwant Singh Literary Festival London is a labour of love. To promote the legacy of Khushwant Singh, the Khushwant Singh Literary Festival (KSLF) returns to London for its 7th edition. And to Oxford for the first time.

The festival is absolutely free and includes 10 sessions of discussions on books that matter and an evening of music.

The theme, Humanity Across Borders, resonates with what is happening in our world today. The outlook, as always, is positive and solution-oriented — “we carry forward the legacy and ideals of Khushwant Singh, the author, scholar, journalist and iconoclast, by discussing the values he stood for, and addressing his concerns, “ say the organisers .

London is where he worked and studied and it helped shape many of his passions. Some of these are: closer ties between India and Pakistan; caring for our heritage and our fragile planet; equal opportunities for women; and disseminating the values of democracy, tolerance and compassion in a world that is increasingly polarised.

The lit fest desired to take humanity across borders, over words, over conversations, and over books.
