Rotary Fair returns to Twickenham

Following the success of previous fairs in 2023 and 2024, the event promises to be even bigger and better this year, inviting visitors to explore a vibrant showcase of local charity work and community efforts.

The Rotary Fair returns to Twickenham Green on Monday, 26 May 2025, offering a fun-filled family day out during the bank holiday. Following the success of previous fairs in 2023 and 2024, the event promises to be even bigger and better this year, inviting visitors to explore a vibrant showcase of local charity work and community efforts.

With over 50 charities and local voluntary groups participating, the fair offers a fantastic opportunity to discover the wide range of activities and causes supported by local organisations. Whether you’re interested in arts and crafts, learning more about community initiatives, or simply enjoying some great entertainment, the Rotary Fair has something for everyone.

Whether you’re interested in arts and crafts, learning more about community initiatives, or simply enjoying some great entertainment, the Rotary Fair has something for everyone.

The event is not just about enjoying the local atmosphere; it also highlights the tremendous efforts of charities and voluntary groups making a real difference in the community. Visitors will be able to meet representatives from these organisations, learn more about their missions, and find out how they can get involved in supporting their work. The fair will feature a variety of information stands where attendees can gather details about local services, as well as stalls selling handmade goods and artisan products, all supporting good causes.

A Global Touch: Celebrating Twinning Relationships

In addition to its usual offerings, this year’s Rotary Fair will also have a special international twist. The event will form part of the reaffirmation celebrations for the town twinning between Richmond, Fontainebleau, and Konstanz. These twinning ties, which have fostered cultural exchange and mutual understanding over the years, will be celebrated with a range of activities during the Twinning Reaffirmation Weekend, taking place from 6 to 8 June 2025. The fair will be the perfect prelude to these events, which will continue through the summer, strengthening the bonds between these three towns.

As part of the reaffirmation weekend, various commemorative events will take place, showcasing the shared history and ongoing partnerships between these European towns. This adds a global dimension to the Rotary Fair, making it an even more exciting occasion for families and community members to come together and celebrate both local and international connections.

Event Details and What to Expect

The Rotary Fair will run from 10am to 4pm on Monday, 26 May, at Twickenham Green, offering a full day of entertainment, activities, and community spirit. Admission is free, and visitors can enjoy a wide variety of stalls, performances, and food offerings, all while supporting a range of local charitable initiatives.

Rotary, a global network of over 1.4 million members across more than 46,000 clubs worldwide, will have a significant presence at the fair. Rotary clubs are well known for their service and charitable activities, both in the local area and abroad. There are five Rotary clubs in the borough, and each one will be represented at the fair, offering a unique insight into the work they do to make a positive impact both locally and internationally.

As always, Rotary’s focus is on building strong community relationships, and the fair is an excellent opportunity for people of all ages to connect, have fun, and get involved in worthwhile causes. The clubs look forward to welcoming even more visitors this year and making the event an enjoyable, memorable experience for everyone who attends.

Join the Fun and Make a Difference

Whether you’re a regular attendee or a first-time visitor, the Rotary Fair promises to be an event not to be missed. It’s a chance to enjoy a day out with family and friends, support local charities, and celebrate the spirit of community that makes Twickenham and the surrounding areas such a great place to live.
