Skill Up This Summer in Enfield

Enfield Summer University Returns with Free Skills Courses for Local Youth

Enfield Council’s Summer University is back this July, offering more than 90 free courses for young people across the borough. Aimed at those aged 11–19 (and up to 25 for those with special educational needs), the programme gives participants a chance to learn new skills, explore career paths, and engage in positive activities over the summer break.

This year’s line-up includes everything from nail art design and music production to personal finance, tech, and sports. Courses are organised by weekly themes — including Tech, Gaming, Sports, Awards, and Beat — each designed to introduce young people to different industries and interests.

“Summer Uni is a great way for young people in Enfield to embrace their passion,” said Cllr Abdul Abdullahi, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services. “These courses were shaped in partnership with our Young Leaders — and we’re proud to offer something for everyone.”

Bookings open 5 July 2025, and places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. All participants must either live or attend school in Enfield.

The initiative is part of Enfield Council’s wider commitment to youth development, focusing on building skills, confidence, and future career prospects through free, accessible programming.

To register interest or view the full programme, visit Youth Enfield or the Summer Uni 2025 site.
