Tributes Paid to Victims of 2017 Westminster Attack

Survivors of the Westminster Bridge and New Palace Yard attack have gathered for an informal remembrance, marking another year since the tragic events of March 22, 2017.

On that day, a terrorist drove a car onto Westminster Bridge at 2:40 pm, killing four people and injuring more than 50 others before fatally attacking PC Keith Palmer outside New Palace Yard. The victims included Aysha Frade, Leslie Rhodes, and Keith Palmer from London, Andreea Cristea from Romania, and Kurt Cochran from the USA. The attack left a lasting impact on survivors from multiple countries.

Although the official anniversary falls on Saturday, a small group of survivors held their traditional gathering on Thursday. The event was kept low-key, with a few individuals meeting on the bridge before moving to a café near the Supreme Court to reconnect. Flowers were placed quietly early in the morning on March 20 as a tribute to those who lost their lives.

The gathering served as a moment of reflection and support for those affected, ensuring that the memory of the victims endures and that the resilience of the survivors remains recognised.
