Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office and Chairman of the UAE Media Council, participated in the opening day of London Tech Week, which kicked off today at Olympia London and runs until June 13.

Accompanied by Dr. Jamal Mohammed Obaid Al Kaabi, Director-General of the National Media Office, Al Hamed held a series of meetings with top officials from leading global technology companies. The discussions centered around strengthening cooperation and identifying ways to harness cutting-edge technologies to enhance national media operations in the United Arab Emirates.

A key focus of the meetings was leveraging innovation to support responsible content delivery and create a future-ready media ecosystem in the UAE. Emphasis was placed on integrating artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and engagement in media communication.

During the visit, Al Hamed also promoted the upcoming Bridge Summit, scheduled for December in Abu Dhabi. He described the summit as a vital platform for international media leaders to exchange knowledge, showcase innovation, and build sustainable partnerships. The event is expected to bring together high-level representatives from media, technology, and policymaking sectors, reinforcing the UAE’s role as a hub for media innovation and dialogue.

Al Hamed also attended several high-level sessions and panel discussions at London Tech Week, which featured global experts exploring the transformative impact of technology across industries. Key topics included artificial intelligence, clean technology, digital transformation, and the expanding role of technology in media, education, and governance.
Speaking on the importance of such gatherings, Al Hamed remarked that global technology forums play a pivotal role in shaping the media landscape by offering fresh insights and facilitating international collaboration. “By embracing innovation and prioritizing partnerships, we are ensuring the development of a resilient and dynamic media environment that reflects our national values and aspirations,” he stated.
