Young performers wow Enfield audience

22 young contestants, aged 11 to 19, showcased their extraordinary skills to a full house of audience at the Millfield Theatre.

A packed audience at Millfield Theatre was treated to an evening of exceptional talent as 22 young performers, aged 11 to 19, took the stage for Enfield Youth’s Got Talent. Showcasing a wide range of skills, from singing and dancing to poetry and magic, the contestants captivated the crowd with their creativity and passion.

The competition, an annual celebration of Enfield’s homegrown talent, placed the power in the hands of the audience, who voted for their favourite acts on the night.

First place was awarded to Alphonse, who took home vouchers worth £250. Melissa secured second place with £150 in vouchers, while The Band—featuring Olaf, Kalece, and Sophia—claimed third place with £50 in vouchers. Additional awards recognised standout performances, with Jenny and Anh receiving the ‘Stage Presence’ award, Ethan winning for ‘Crowd Interaction’, and Skye being named ‘Performance Winner’.

Enfield Youth’s Got Talent is designed to celebrate the borough’s young artists and inspire future generations to express themselves through performance.

Councillor Abdul Abdullahi, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, praised the event and the dedication of everyone involved:

“I would like to thank the Council Youth Development Service for organising such a fantastic event, as well as our Youth Workers, Talisha Anderson-Wright and Stacey McKnight, and our partners, Steppaz Performing Arts Academy and Every Loves Music. Their dedication to mentoring young performers has enabled them to grow in confidence and deliver passionate performances.

“Our participants have worked incredibly hard, rehearsing weekly with trained professionals. Congratulations to them all for bringing so much love, energy, and enthusiasm to the stage. As a Council, we remain committed to supporting their talents and creating opportunities for them to reach their full potential.”

Enfield Council continues to invest in youth development, ensuring that young people have the support and resources they need to succeed.
