Liverpool Win Merseyside Derby to Retain 12-Point Lead in Premier League

Diogo Jota’s 57th-minute goal secured a 1-0 win for Liverpool in the Merseyside derby against Everton, allowing them to maintain their 12-point lead in the Premier League. Jota capitalized on Luis Diaz’s back-heel pass to break down Everton’s solid defense, leaving Arne Slot’s side needing just 13 points from their remaining eight matches to clinch the title.

Elsewhere, Manchester City cruised past Leicester City 3-0, with Jack Grealish opening the scoring just two minutes in, followed by Omar Marmoush doubling the lead. Newcastle ended Brentford’s five-match away win streak with a 2-1 victory, thanks to goals from Alexander Isak and Sandro Tonali.
