Yuvraj Singh to Lead India Champions in EaseMyTrip WCL Season 2, Shikhar Dhawan to Debut 

Yuvraj, who led the India Champions to victory in the inaugural season, will be looking to recreate the magic of their historic win in the T20 competition

Legendary Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh is set to return as captain of the India Champions for the second season of the EaseMyTrip World Championship of Legends (WCL), with the tournament scheduled to take place this July in the United Kingdom. The announcement brings excitement to cricket fans across the globe, especially with former opener Shikhar Dhawan joining the squad for the first time following his retirement from international cricket last year. 

Yuvraj, who led the India Champions to victory in the inaugural season, will be looking to recreate the magic of their historic win in the T20 competition. The inaugural edition saw a stellar performance from Yuvraj, alongside other cricketing greats such as Suresh Raina, Robin Uthappa, and the Pathan brothers—Irfan and Yusuf. Their teamwork and passion for the game proved that, despite retiring from international cricket, these legends still have the fire to win on the big stage. 

“I’m thrilled to be leading the India Champions again in the EaseMyTrip World Championship of Legends,” Yuvraj Singh said. “The memories of our victory in the first edition, alongside my teammates, will always remain close to my heart. The EaseMyTrip WCL has quickly established itself as a global sensation, drawing packed crowds and captivating millions of fans around the world. The inaugural tournament highlighted the exceptional talent and enduring passion of Indian cricket’s elite, with players delivering memorable performances that cemented their status as legends. This year, Yuvraj Singh and his teammates will be back on the field to battle top international cricketers, bringing back thrilling rivalries and heart-pounding cricket action. 

Shikhar Dhawan, the former Indian opening batsman known for his aggressive play at the top of the order, will be making his debut in the tournament this season. After retiring from international cricket, the seasoned veteran is excited to play for the India Champions. Dhawan’s inclusion adds further star power to the already formidable squad.

The India Champions will return to Edgbaston in Birmingham, where they will defend their title in fierce competition with top international players from Australia, West Indies, England, Pakistan, and South Africa. The tournament promises to feature thrilling cricketing action with some of the most beloved names in the sport.
