Rice Robotics Launches Minibot M1 with Floki, Merging AI and Blockchain

Floki’s involvement in the Minibot M1 project reflects its strategy to expand into tokenised AI and blockchain services. Through its sister project TokenFi, Floki is advancing the tokenisation of real-world assets, including AI-generated content and robotic learning models

Hong Kong-based robotics startup Rice Robotics has launched the Minibot M1, developed in partnership with blockchain project Floki. Positioned at the intersection of AI, robotics, and decentralised technology, the Minibot M1 is designed to provide both practical support and emotional engagement.

Running on the RICE AI protocol, the Minibot M1 functions as a personal assistant capable of managing schedules, retrieving online information, playing music, telling stories, and engaging users in conversation. By combining utility with companionship, it aims to become a seamless part of everyday life.

A key innovation is the robot’s integration with the $RICE token, a new cryptocurrency launching alongside the device. Users who interact with the Minibot M1 will earn $RICE tokens, supporting a decentralised data-sharing model that enhances robotic intelligence. Robots within the network will be able to autonomously exchange training data, reducing dependence on centralised systems.

The $RICE token will debut on the TokenFi Launchpad, with staking options available for $TOKEN holders. Airdrops will also be distributed to holders and stakers of both $FLOKI and $TOKEN, tying the project into Floki’s broader blockchain ecosystem.

Rice Robotics is already active in Japan, where its robots provide unmanned indoor delivery services for 7-Eleven Japan and office assistance at SoftBank headquarters. The company has partnerships with global players like Nvidia, Dubai Future Foundation, NTT Japan, and Mitsui Fudosan.

In early 2024, Rice Robotics raised over $7 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund, Soul Capital, and Audacy Ventures, highlighting growing investor interest in AI-powered robotics.

Floki’s involvement in the Minibot M1 project reflects its strategy to expand into tokenised AI and blockchain services. Through its sister project TokenFi, Floki is advancing the tokenisation of real-world assets, including AI-generated content and robotic learning models.
With the global AI robotics sector expected to exceed $100 billion by 2030, the Minibot M1 signals a major shift in how robots are integrated into daily life—not just as tools, but as interactive companions in the age of decentralised intelligence.
