Global business and social change leaders gathered for the prestigious event by WCRCINT & White Page International, featuring award-winning journalist Mihir Bose, whose groundbreaking work spans history, sports, and culture.
Veteran journalist Mihir Bose, Editor-At-Large of London Daily, was honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award at the Global Business Conclave 2025 held at Peers Room, The House of Lords, Palace of Westminster, London.
Distinguished business and social change leaders from over 30 countries attended the event organised by WCRCINT & White Page International.
Former BBC Sport Editor Mihir Bose is an award-winning journalist and author of 53 books. His books range from histories, including looking at questions of race and inclusion, to biographies and sport. His History of Indian Cricket was the first book on Indian cricket to win the prestigious English Cricket Society Literary Award. He has written the only narrative history of Bollywood. Two of his books, Silver, The Spy Who Fooled the Nazis and Twinkle Toes are being made into films. His Dreaming The Impossible: the Battle to Create a Non-racial Sports World was shortlisted for the 2023 Sunday Times Sports Book Awards in the best sports writing category. His latest book is Thank you, Mr Crombie, Lessons in Guilt and Gratitude to Britain which describes his upbringing in India just as India won freedom and then becoming a journalist in Britain.
Mihir was the BBC’s first Sports Editor, the first non-white to be a BBC editor. He moved to the BBC after 12 years at the Daily Telegraph where he was the chief sports news correspondent and launched the Inside Sports column. Before that he worked for the Sunday Times for 20 years. He has contributed to nearly all the major UK newspapers and presented programmes for radio and television writing on social, sports, inclusion and historical issues. He has also been a business journalist editing Pensions, deputy editor of Financial Weekly and City Features Editor of the London Daily News. His awards include Business Columnist of the Year, Sports Story of the Year, Asian Achievers Award and Outstanding Contribution to the Media Award.
Bose has an honorary doctorate from Loughborough University given in recognition of his journalism and the promotion of equality. He is a member of the English Heritage’s Blue Plaques Panel and a former chairman of the Reform Club.
