The UAE National Programme for Artificial Intelligence has officially launched the sixth cohort of its flagship Artificial Intelligence Programme, aimed at advancing the nation’s strategic vision to shape a future driven by innovation and digital excellence.
Running from May to September 2025, the new cohort is implemented in collaboration with the University of Birmingham, UK, and focuses on deepening technical expertise among employees from government entities, semi-government organisations, and the private sector. The initiative underscores the UAE’s commitment to building a skilled national workforce capable of leading in the rapidly evolving fields of artificial intelligence and generative AI.
His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, stressed that the UAE government’s vision centers on preparing a future-ready workforce equipped with the expertise and innovation needed to drive the nation’s digital transformation.
“Artificial intelligence is the cornerstone of the UAE’s digital future,” Al Olama said. “Through programmes like this, we are not only fostering innovation but also strengthening the UAE’s leadership in global technology by empowering our exceptional talents to meet future challenges and seize emerging opportunities.”
The sixth cohort of the programme aims to provide participants with cutting-edge knowledge and tools, introducing them to key concepts in artificial intelligence, generative AI, and their fast-paced global advancements. It addresses both future challenges and opportunities specific to participants’ roles, with a strong focus on real-world applications of AI technologies, large language models, and security solutions.
Structured across five core modules, the curriculum includes:

·Implementation of Generative AI Technologies

Since its inception, the AI Programme has graduated over 370 employees from more than 100 organisations across the government and private sectors.
