Future of Education in an AI-Driven World

The symposium served as an opportunity to further discuss how ISBF and LSE can continue to enhance student learning experiences and create a more seamless transition from secondary to higher education

The LSE-ISBF Symposium 2025 brought together leading educationists, school principals, and academic leaders to discuss the future of learning in an increasingly AI-driven world. Hosted by the Indian School of Business and Finance (ISBF) in collaboration with the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), the event marked a milestone in the partnership between the two institutions and reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing educational excellence in India.

The symposium, held in New Delhi, featured senior representatives from LSE and the University of London (UoL), engaging with principals from some of India’s most prestigious schools. With a focus on bridging the gap between school education and higher education, the discussions centered around the competencies students need in a rapidly evolving academic and professional landscape, such as critical thinking, analytical skills, and adaptability.

ISBF: A Bridge to Global Education
For years, ISBF has been a leading academic partner of the University of London, offering undergraduate programs with academic direction from LSE. This collaboration has enabled students in India to pursue internationally recognized degrees in Economics, Finance, Management, Data Science, and Psychology, following the same rigorous curriculum as LSE students globally. By bringing world-class education to India, ISBF ensures that students have access to LSE’s research-driven pedagogy and global perspectives.

The symposium served as an opportunity to further discuss how ISBF and LSE can continue to enhance student learning experiences and create a more seamless transition from secondary to higher education. Arushi Bakshi, Director of ISBF, remarked, “The LSE-ISBF Symposium 2025 is a testament to our dedication to providing world-class education. We are proud to offer a platform where educators can engage in meaningful discussions on critical educational reforms. The involvement of senior representatives from LSE and prominent school principals demonstrates the importance of global academic partnerships in shaping the future of education.”

AI and Education: The Future of Learning
One of the key highlights of the symposium was the panel discussion titled “Redefining School Education for an AI-Driven Future.” The session explored how artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming the education sector and how schools can adapt their teaching methodologies to prepare students for an AI-driven world.

Panelists included Oliver Trumble, Associate Director of Global Programmes at LSE; Prof. James Abdey, Associate Academic Director at UoL International Programmes, LSE; Erika Gallacher, Senior Business Development Manager at LSE; Simmy Kant, Vice-Principal of DPS Faridabad; and B. Mahender Reddy, CEO of St. Mary’s Educational Society. The discussion emphasized the importance of fostering creativity, problem-solving skills, and digital literacy among students to ensure they thrive in a technology-driven global economy.

The experts stressed that AI is not only a tool for enhancing efficiency in the classroom, but it also has the potential to reshape how students learn. With a growing emphasis on digital skills, students need to be equipped with the ability to think critically and innovate in an increasingly automated world. The discussion highlighted the need for schools to embrace technology and develop curriculums that focus on critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and adaptability, which will be key in preparing students for future challenges.

Strengthening the Bridge Between Education Levels
The event also addressed the need for closer alignment between secondary and higher education systems. By emphasizing the importance of analytical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity, the symposium underscored the critical role of educational institutions in preparing students for future challenges. It became clear that the future of education must be dynamic and adaptable, incorporating new technologies and methodologies to ensure students are prepared for a rapidly changing world.
The symposium was a resounding success, drawing participation from renowned school leaders, senior academicians, and international education experts. Attendees appreciated ISBF’s role in fostering a globally connected learning ecosystem and its efforts to strengthen the bridge between secondary and higher education. The event served as a platform for exchanging ideas, sharing best practices, and developing strategies to integrate AI and other technologies into education.
Looking Ahead: Global Education for an AI-Powered Future
As the symposium concluded, ISBF and LSE reaffirmed their commitment to expanding academic opportunities for students in India. Through continued collaboration, both institutions aim to ensure that students have access to world-class education, empowering them with the knowledge and skills required to succeed in a future driven by artificial intelligence and other cutting-edge technologies.

This partnership between ISBF and LSE continues to play a key role in bridging Indian and global education standards, equipping students with the competencies necessary to thrive in an increasingly complex and interconnected world. With AI at the forefront of this transformation, the future of education is set to be both exciting and full of potential.
