Manish Tiwari wins British Asian Media award

Tiwari expressed his gratitude to present-day Britain, noting that when he arrived 25 years ago, he never had to alter any aspect of his identity

Manish Tiwari, the founder of Here & Now 365, the largest independent multicultural marketing agency, was recently awarded the Outstanding Contribution to British Asian Media award at the British Asian Media Awards 2025. The prestigious event, which celebrates the achievements and contributions of British Asian media professionals, saw Tiwari receive accolades from Jovilisi Suveinakama, the High Commissioner of Fiji, and Jo Sherlock, Group Rights and Commercial Director at the BBC. Sherlock, who also served as one of the judges for the event, praised Tiwari’s significant impact on the industry.

Upon accepting the award, Tiwari reflected on the historical context of the British Asian media landscape. He highlighted the migration of Indians from the subcontinent during the 18th and early 19th centuries when they were sent to Commonwealth nations under the British Empire. This migration led to a global diaspora, with many eventually settling in the UK. This was further bolstered by waves of migration from the Indian subcontinent post-World War II when Britain needed skilled and unskilled labour to aid its rebuilding efforts. This laid the foundation for the British Asian media industry.

Tiwari expressed his gratitude to present-day Britain, noting that when he arrived 25 years ago, he never had to alter any aspect of his identity. He built a successful media agency and established an entire industry without compromising his cultural heritage. This legacy was celebrated in a significant way during the awards ceremony.

In addition to Tiwari’s accolade, Here & Now 365 was honoured with the Agency of the Year award for its exceptional work with various brands. These brands include Dabur Vatika, which launched a Gender Pay Gap campaign for ethnic minority women; Remitly; the National Health Service (NHS); Watchdog Locksmiths; Vitabiotics; and Tilda, among others. The Agency’s innovative and impactful campaigns have set a new standard for multicultural marketing.

The 20-year-old Agency also received the ‘Creative Excellence in Media’ award for its outstanding creative work across various media platforms. This includes collaborations with ZEE and Sony and out-of-home (OOH) and radio campaigns with Sunrise and Lyca Radio. Notably, Here & Now 365 produced a TV advert featuring Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui for Watchdog Locksmiths and a radio campaign with global icon Hans Raj Hans, which led to the product selling out.

Tiwari expressed his gratitude to the judges from Arqiva and the BBC for the recognition. He emphasised that his Agency focuses not only on trendy ‘DEI’ (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives but also on fostering deeper connections that help clients leverage media more effectively for ‘real results.’ He also stressed the importance of creating a culturally vibrant world that is accepting of all.

The British Asian Media Awards 2025 was a night of celebration and recognition for the contributions of British Asian media professionals. Manish Tiwari’s achievements and the success of Here & Now 365 serve as a testament to the power of cultural diversity and its impact on the media industry.
